Lesson from Tumbling Children....

Children Teach: I am at my kid's tumbling class. What I see in tumbling is that the only way to progress is to progress. There is no faking it until you make it. Also, these kids have to have courage to even attempt some of these moves. As I think about life I am reminded just how much hard work it takes to get what you want in life. Many people give up because stretching and expanding one' s self takes lots of courage and belief. At some point faking it until you make it is not enough. You have to progress in order to progress.

Inspiration for you...

I am grateful for all of my problems. After each one was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those that were still to come. I grew in all my difficulties.

Writing- Recommitted Jan, 2013

Today I recommit to completing my writing course.  I really do want to write for a living.  I just have not believed in myself much.  I get too sidetracked and keep myself at a certain level of under achievement and mediocrity.  No more!  I was born to write and so I shall.  My goal now is to figure out how to write fiction.  I am reviewing my chapter in my assignment and doing suggested reading.  I will write this fiction story despite my mental block.

Being a Conscious Mother is not alwasy easy

I often struggle with what I am really supposed to do as a mother.  I trust the ORI, the higher wisdom, within each child to lead that child to their highest and greatest good, with or without me actually.  However, I do feel as a mother that sometimes I can see what my children's Ori's are calling for but they don't.

I feel like I sometimes make them do things that I think are in their best interest even when they say NO to it.  Sometimes I think I see it but it may be too soon and that is why they say no.  But often times, what I make them do becomes the foundation for something later.

I just feel conflicted because I believe  so deeply in the law of attraction but by the same token, what do I do when I feel that I really should make my kids do certain things because I can see beyond what they can see.

Right now the issue is homeschooling.  My older son hates robotics but I see it as an opportunity for him.  It is not that he even really hates robotics, he just hates that it is at the same time as tumbling and capoeira at times.

*sigh*  I will stick with my plan for now.  He is staying robotics.  MANY times we have been here and he always says that he sees that I was right for making him stick with certain things.

Praying that I am right this time.

Self-Mastery/Self-Realization Journey: Devotion and Trust

Interesting...Devotion and Trust.

I ask myself this morning how devoted am I really? What am I devoted to? Again this leads me to pondering which goddess am I serving? The one of my lower self or the one of my higher self.

We all have this spiritual quality of devotion. We all spend lots of time devoted to pour passions, interests, people, jobs, television programming, radio, the internet....we are all devoted to something.

What I feel led to explore is this question, "Is what I am devoted to taking me toward that which I desire or away from it?"

Seems to me that I am highly devoted to experiencing love. Sometimes I seek it from a place of my higher, expanded self and other times from my lower, victim self.

I feel highly devoted to writing.

What I know is that we are called to be devoted. The ultimate is to be devoted on a quest to understand the fullness of who we are with in the greater spiritual context.

Trust...what do I really trust? I seek to trust myself. As I continue to expand my understanding of myself, I feel that I do trust myself. I feel that one of the worse things that can happen is for a person to not trust herself.

Trusting myself involves taking risks. Sometimes I have to go for what my HEART, not what the WORLD is calling me to do but my heart...I have to trust my heart. Even if it does not land me where I desire to be at least I am beginning to give myself a chance to do more and better.

I remember when I did not trust myself. I trusted outside opinions of me more than I did my own. That is when I have created the greatest messes in my life.

But when I stay true to my heart and the voice of the great mother within me, I tend to land in places that are just right.
